All about Matt Lands. Majoring in Music Production and Engineering, Matt received a Bachelor’s of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, Boston MA in 1999. Matt is an accomplished guitarist and studied under Joe Stump and Jon Finn while at Berklee. Matt also enjoys playing multiple instruments including guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums and various hand and world percussion instruments.
Music and sound has always intrigued Matt. At the age of 5, he often appeared carrying a cassette recorder so wherever he went he saved sounds, be it a squeaky door, dripping faucet or clap of thunder. This early love of sound turned into a library of proprietary sound effects that continues to grow to this day. Matt got his first guitar at age 8 and first mixing console at 10. As a teenager growing up in South Florida, Matt worked as a recording and mixing engineer at a local studio, recording numerous local bands. While in high school, he engineered and produced a 10 original song cd of himself.
Matt has enjoyed giving back to the Berklee College of Music by participating in the Berklee Internship Program. Matt is a member of ASCAP.
